Janetmarie (JM) Fields is a visual artist based in Portland, Oregon. Working mainly in watercolor, her work focuses on the natural world and everyday objects. She is inspired by forests, roadside signs, seasonal vegetables, power lines, walking paths, left behind trash, flowers, the sky, and light casting shadows. By using familiar or ordinary imagery, she aims to highlight the beauty and sorrow of human life, holding the tension of hope and grief.

Janetmarie Fields studied visual art and art practice at Portland State University. She has been doing commission based painting for the last decade and has exhibited at PDX CONTEMPORARY ART in Portland, Oregon.
